Main ongoing research
The research carried out at LAPIA has been bringing together students at different levels (from scientific initiation to post-doctorate) and producing great scientific material, with quality and originality, being a reference center in the research and treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents.
Through our research, we study neurodevelopment in order to understand individual differences related to mental disorders – and how to transform the results achieved into models that can be used for early interventions.
From bench to clinical trial
Mental disorders bring great difficulties to the individual and place a great burden on their family members. We want to understand the emergence of mental disorders so that we can look for ways to better treat and prevent them and to do this we are evaluating several children and adolescents with or without any mental disorder. If you have a child aged between 1 year and 17 years and 11 months, you can help us better understand the causes of mental disorders.
